(“BEYOND
excited to share the eerily macabre works of French painter Christophe
Prades with all of you! Each of these incredible one of a kind pieces
were hand painted with resins, pigments and ink on antique mirrors and
finished with antique frames, giving them a truly haunting transparent
effect. See our Instagram Stories this afternoon for a direct link to
these macabre treasures!

Christophe Prades started working as
an abstract painter at the age of 20. Over time, female figures started
to emerge from the magma of color and materials and then took a central
role in his work, becoming a kind of series of modern icons. His work
questions the representation of the sacred in today’s reign of
technology and consumerism. His canvas - the mirror, is thus a magic
object that can retain traces of the souls that it has reflected –
creating an object which is the sum of the imperfect reflections of
these moments.
